Ozzy

Despite all his flaws (you know, the near spousal murder bit, personally I'd never have forgiven him for that but Sharon DID and its not my place to say I know better than her, and the biting animals heads off probably not his finest moments, we can agree), Ozzy Osbourne is one of my heroes. The reason is simple.

He's proof that even if you become mega famous and rich and are talented beyond your peers, you should still acknowledge your own mistreatment of people, you should still apologise when you are a ¤¤¤¤, you should always try and better your worst, and a demonic vice is something which should always be fought against. Most of that he came much later to life in, but it's been his existence for most of my life, the attempted atoner, the warner to the young not to be a ¤¤¤¤head. So he'll apologise for falling off the wagon, but then he'll try and conquer his addictions afresh. And he's very open about how he doesn't want younger generations to fall into the same traps he did. I avoided hard drugs at uni because Ozzy fn Osbourne warned me to avoid them.

His final gig has made around 200 million for Parkinsons research and children's hospitals.

Also, I love his songs. Black Sabbath are amazing and as iconic and pioneering as everyone says.
